Su elecci\u00f3n marca un nuevo cap\u00edtulo en la misi\u00f3n de los Maristas de Champagnat de continuar el carisma de San Marcelino Champagnat: hacer conocer y estimar a Jesucristo, especialmente entre ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Hermano Peter Carroll<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Hno. Peter naci\u00f3 el 2 de agosto de 1958 en Queensland, Australia. Ingres\u00f3 en los Hermanos despu\u00e9s de completar sus estudios en el Marist College Ashgrove de Brisbane. Hizo su primera profesi\u00f3n como hermano marista el 1 de enero de 1981 y la profesi\u00f3n perpetua el 20 de junio de 1986.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ha trabajado en escuelas de primaria y secundaria, tanto masculinas como mixtas, en r\u00e9gimen diurno y de internado. Se especializ\u00f3 en Educaci\u00f3n Religiosa y fue Jefe de Departamento en tres colegios. Durante 15 a\u00f1os, de 1997 a 2012, fue director de tres colegios cat\u00f3licos de secundaria: St. Peter Claver College Riverview, Marist College North Shore y Trinity Catholic College Lismore. Curs\u00f3 estudios universitarios en la Universidad Macquarie, donde se especializ\u00f3 en Historia, Literatura Inglesa y Educaci\u00f3n. Los estudios de posgrado los realiz\u00f3 en el Australian Catholic University y en la Loyola University Chicago, en Educaci\u00f3n y Educaci\u00f3n Religiosa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Hno. Peter fue elegido miembro del Consejo de la Provincia de Sydney el 2004, y ejerci\u00f3 como Consejero hasta el 2012, a\u00f1o en que fue nombrado Viceprovincial de la nueva Provincia de Australia, fruto de la uni\u00f3n de las provincias de Sydney y Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 2015 fue nombrado Provincial y ejerci\u00f3 este servicio hasta diciembre de 2022, cuando la Provincia de Australia se uni\u00f3 con el Distrito de Melanesia y el Distrito del Pac\u00edfico para formar la Provincia Star of the Sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De 2019 a 2022 fue presidente de Catholic Religious Australia, organismo que representa 150 institutos religiosos del continente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En diciembre de 2022, el Hno.
